Event Report
Four drive and ride cars and five display cars. Lots more interest in the electric cars this year. The Teslas gave 22 test drives, 6 test drives in the LEAFs, and 1 test drive in the e-Golf. One LEAF from Newport partially is powered through a solar collector on the top of the owner's RV. They had posters about solar charging and that drew a lot of positive attention. A Tesla Model S P85D came to the event and one lucky couple got to try the "insane" mode. They reported it was an amazing experience, although the husband thought he was blacking out from the G forces! The dealer bringing the e-Golf learned a lot from his experience. It was his first time driving an EV and he had adventures along the way. Several owners took him under their wing and he'll go back to the dealership much more informed about EV's. This organizer is blessed with the knowledge and enthusiasm of the owners who choose to be here--they make this event a success every year.

Event Description
Update 9/11/15: We are looking forward to a great event. See you there!
Update 8/3/15: We have limited space for display cars and ride and drive cars at this event. We will be "wait listing" Nissan LEAFs and Tesla Model S registering after today in hopes of finding a few different models of EVs for the show. Please continue to register and we'll keep you posted via E-mail if space is available. We hope everyone will still drop by the event even if our space limitations may keep us from displaying all your cars. Thank you.

Welcome
to our National Drive Electric Week celebration in Lincoln City, Oregon. We are planning two events this year. Please read below about Cruisin' the Bay Car Show:
September 12, 2015, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. we will again be part of the annual Cruisin’ the Bay Car Show. The event will be held at The Bay House Restaurant parking lot, 5911 SW Highway 101, Lincoln City, Oregon. We will have several models of electric vehicles on display and some owners will offer drive and rides in their cars. Informed and enthusiastic owners will be on hand to share information about their cars and driving electric.
Last year’s electric car display at the Cruisin’ the Bay Car Show won rave reviews and we were welcomed as the “wave of the future” along with the beautiful classic cars in the show. Dr. Steve Ou’s Tesla Model S P85 even won one of the awards at the show. Here’s an aerial shot of the 2014 Cruisin’ the Bay Car Show provided by the event’s organizers--electric cars are in front of the restaurant on the right side of the photo, right next to and highly visible from busy Highway 101!
