The County of Ventura is partnering with Ventura County Regional Energy Alliance and the EV Advocates of Ventura County to host the Ventura Electric Vehicle (EV) event on October 2nd. The public is invited to learn about a variety of electric vehicles and learn from industry experts. This free event is part of National Drive Electric Week’s EV outreach activities staged in communities across the country to highlight the clean-air benefits, cost-savings, and fun provided by driving an electric vehicle.
Event highlights include:
Walk Around and View a variety of privately and municipally owned Electric Vehicles along with new vehicles from dealerships.
With social distancing, talk directly with EV owners and learn about their experiences.
Dealerships will have new vehicles on display. Establish contacts and obtain sales information.
Learn from industry experts including: EV Advocates of Ventura County, Ventura County Air Pollution Control District, Community Environmental Council, California Clean Vehicle Rebate Program, SCE’s Charge Ready Program and more.

Due to Covid-19 we will be taking extra precautions. All participants must register in advance and follow our guidelines which includes wearing of a mask, maintaining social distance, using the handwash stations and avoiding personal contact. You will be entering the event at the registration booth, sign in, get your temperature taken and if clear you will be allowed to enter the event. Once in, you will make your way in a single direction through the display area. Vehicles on display by dealers will have contact and sales information. Privately owned vehicles may have their owners in the area, and you can contact them for more information or provide your contact information as you leave the area if you want to be contacted.
If you plan to come to the event as a walk-through participant, please be aware we will be limiting the number of people in the event at any one time. To facilitate this, please select an entry time for you and everyone in your group when you register and specify the times in the comments section. Entry times will be on the half hour, 12:00, 12:30, 1:00, 1:30, 2:00, 2:30, 3:00 and 3:30.
If you register come to the event and display your vehicle, plan to arrive by 11:30 so we can get you parked in the display area. Your vehicle will remain locked to prevent incidental contact. During the event, you can leave the area or remain within the social distancing zone near your vehicle. You will be allowed to leave with your vehicle at the end of the event at 4PM. Bring information on your vehicle’s year, make, mileage and approximate purchase price. We will be making informational displays for each vehicle.
If your display vehicle will need a charge, a limited number of spaces will be able to hook up to the ChargePoint units. Please indicate your need to charge and we will try to place your vehicle at the chargers.
