Event ReportKevin and Margie handled the setup and the introductions. I (Jeffrey) arrived about half-way through as I had a prior engagement. We have a lot of interest and the property owner was really kind to us, waiving the fees for security. We held a raffle and then cars started departing. We still had some on display after our official close and I think we talked to most of the people who stopped by. We will upload videos and photos later.
The Northern Virginia Tesla Owners group is organizing its first Drive Electric Week event this year at the newly opened Tesla SuperChargers in Leesburg. We will be there all day to answer questions about EVs and show off our cars and also try to go for the record of most summoned Teslas at the same time (space permitting).
This event is opened to everyone and all electric cars. If your car has a plug, you're welcome and encouraged to join us and share your electric car experiences with any and all cars that have a plug. This event is open to everyone and for now we won't be capping the attendance though if we get too many vehicles we may seek alternate parking arrangements near the Superchargers and the County Courthouse.
This will be one of the first Drive Electric Events on the year so we hope you can join us. We plan to make this an annual event to rival our friends up Route 15 and MD 107. But we love them and hope after this event you will join our friends in Poolesville too!
