Event Report
For the fourth year in a row the EV Advocates of Ventura County and the Los Padres Chapter of the Sierra Club organized the local NDEW event at this location. As usual in the weather was perfect and brought out many participants to enjoy our great coastal environment. In addition to the 54 registered vehicles, during the day another dozen or so showed up to add to our showcase.
Along with the regular vehicles we had a restored 1956 runabout with a Volt battery pack for the twin EV outboards, a local plumber with his Model X service rig and trailer, a Spira pizza delivery vehicle, EV Bikes and an EV Trike conversion. Several booths provided information on rebates, local EV program and organizations.
We were co-located with the regular Sunday Farmers Market, which provided us with more participants and gave us the opportunity to get some great eats and provisions.
One benefit of our continued use of this location is that the Channel Islands Harbor District is finishing the installation of EV charging equipment in the harbor.
Next year will even be better…
