National Drive Electric Week
Austin • Sep 16, 2017
|Day:||Saturday, September 16, 2017 NOTE: this event has already happened, find current-year events on the events page.|
|Time:||9AM - 1PM|
Sunset Valley Farmers Market (Tony Burger Center)
3200 Jones Rd
Austin, TX 78745
This was our first year holding our NDEW event alongside a farmers' market. The Sunset Valley market operated by Austin's Sustainable Food Center provided great cross-traffic and food! In addition to EVs, we also had booths from our local Smart Charge America installer, electric utility, 2 solar companies and a non-profit promoting climate action. Not bad for an event organized in under 2 months!
- Did you know that Austin has well over 400 charging ports for electric vehicles?
- Did you know you can buy a tag from Austin Energy for $4.17 a month that will let you charge free at almost all of them?
- Did you know that every EV comes with a charging cord that plugs into a regular 110V, three-prong outlet?
Register to attend and / or bring your own EV, click the blue button at the top of this page and you'll be entered to win a chance at a $250 gift card.
