Event Report

The City of Hyattsville, Maryland had planned their very first "Green Expo" on Saturday September 17th, 2016, but had forgotten about electric vehicles. I didn't find out about the event until just a week prior, and when I asked the organizer if she would like to have EVs at the event, she said that was a fantastic idea, and asked for my help in getting EVs to attend. At that point I decided to make it an official NDEW event, but I only had a short window to try an get EV owners to show up. Unfortunately most local EV owners had already signed up for the huge Poolesville NDEW event (same day), but despite this being an "11th Hour" show, we still had a small but nice turnout, and the Green Expo organizers realized what needed to be done to make it bigger next year with better advertising and earlier notice. We had: 1 BMW i3, 2 Chev Sparks, 1 Chev Volt, 1 GEM LSV. (Note: vehicles came and went, so the attached picture does not show all of the EVs in attendance.)
