Event Report
We started off the NDEW event Sunday 9/18 /2016 by holding a 20 minute parade of electric vehicles around the local area down Ogden Ave. and Route 59 roads circling back to the Naperville test track. EVeryone had a blast! Then for the next few hours we had a steady stream of guests interested in electric vehicles come and talk to the owners and drivers of EVs, many of the volunteers taking guests around the car test track. Great Music was provided by a Fox Valley Electric Auto Association volunteer and with the gorgeous weather it was considered a success by all.
Event Description
Come out to the Electric Vehicle Ride-n-Drive and Parade sponsored by the Fox Valley Electric Auto Association, a not-for-profit organization of volunteers dedicated to educating the public and promoting Electric Vehicles (EVs). Festivities and parade start at 1:00 p.m. Sunday. Talk to owners of various Electric Vehicles of all types and models, including cars, hot rods, and trucks converted to Electric by members of the FVEAA, along with EVs brought by owners, and EVs from the car manufacturers themselves. If you already own an EV, then bring it before 1:00 and participate! Or come and take a Ride in an EV around the test track. Ask questions of the experts and owners.
