Event Report

It was another good year for the Montclair, NJ NDEW event. We has 39 plug in vehicles come and BMW of Bloomfield brought four plug in cars for test drives. They had 40 test drives, and even had to end the test drives a little early because they ran out of test drive liability waivers! Montclair's Sustainability manager, Gray Russell came and stayed for the entire event, as did Chuck Feinberg, the Chairman of the NJ Clean Cities Coalition. Bob Russo, a councilman in Montclair also came and took a test drive. He and his wife are now shopping for a, EV!

Event Description

The third annual National Drive Electric Week event held in Montclair, New Jersey. We'll be meeting in the parking lot of Nauna's Bella Casa Italian restaurant and pizzeria. There is also a Quick Chek convenience store on site so coffee/food as well as restroom facilities are not a problem. There are two level 2 EVSEs and one CCS DC fast charger on site. There are also six public level 2 EVSEs within two miles and a CHAdeMO/CCS DC fast charger about 6 miles away, so recharging shouldn't be a problem.

BMW of Bloomfield has agreed to bring a couple i3s, plus the newly introduced PHEVs 330e & X5 40e to the event, and offer ride and drives for all interested. Please come early if you know you'll need to charge so we can get everyone that needs electrons some time on the EVSEs.
