Event Report
The City of Richmond planned this event in collaboration with the Ecology Center and the Cities of El Cerrito and Albany.
This year, Hanlees Hilltop, Albany Ford, Fiat of Concord all attended and showcased electric vehicles and offered test drives. Various electric vehicle models were present to include Fiat 500e, Chevy Spark, Ford C-MAX Energi, Ford Fusion Energi, Hyundai Sonata Plug-In, Volkswagen eGolf, and more.
Proterra, Inc. was present and showcased their 40-ft Catalyst zero emission, all electric bus. Attendees also had an opportunity to visit informational tables to learn about electric vehicles, charging and financial incentives. Tables were hosted by 511 Contra Costa, Sierra Club, Ecology Center, Community Housing Development Corporation, Center for Sustainable Energy, and Chargepoint.
This event provided an opportunity for the community to test drive and speak to electric vehicle owners about their ownership experience and learn ways to finance their next EV!
