Event Report

Biggest event in Central Connecticut, held on the Connecticut River shores in Middletown, CT. Great turnout with beautiful weather. Over 200 people attended and 24 plus 6 city owned plug-ins were on display. Five local dealers were present giving ride & drives. Robotics teams were present as well as local Solar dealers and a food truck.

Event Description

 

Come join us at Harbor Park on Saturday, September 10, for an Electric Vehicle (EV) Tailgate Party and Ride and Drive! 

Just Announced Door Prizes!!
1) In Home - Electric Vehicle Outlet 
Sunlight solar electrican will install a 40a circuit 50' maximum cable with 240v outlet for a electric vehicle charging station. Wire run must be accessible and their must be sufficient space and capacity in electrical panel for equipment.
2) Solar Cell Phone Battery Charger Flashlight
Goal Zero Torch 250 flashlight $80 value
Available to all who sign up at the event.


Park as close to the river as possible. Twelve Level 2 charging in the adjoining municipal parking lot. Test Drive a new Electric Car.

Have an Electric Vehicle (or Plug-in)?  Bring your EV/Plug-In to the event to show it off and answer questions.  The charging stations will be available to recharge while you're there!

Middletown Electric Car and Charging station Showcase  Check out Middletown's new fleet of Ford Focus Electric vehicles and 12 public charging stations.

Local and State Elected Officials  Meet the elected officials who have been responsible for supporting electric vehicles in CT.

Want to learn more about owning an EV/Plug-In?  Come visit and ask real owners about their experiences.  

Want to Test Drive an EV/Plug-In?  Dealers from all the major (and some minor) EV car manufacturers will be attending. Compare all of them at once!  

Mercy High School- Tech Tigers Robotics & Guilford ApplePi Robotics   Mercy's & ApplePI Robotics teams will bring their Electric Powered Robot for demonstrations and "Test Drives" Come see their robots in action!  

PokemanGO  Youngest member of the planning team reports that there are 3 pokistops in the park and we are planning on releasing several lures during the event. Come join the fun or let us show you what this Pokeman talk is all about.

In all cases, we encourage you to register to attend to help us better plan the event (and have the right number of hot dogs on hand for you!).

Directions to Harbor Park; On Route 9, take exit for Route 66 and turn South on first left to DeKovan.  Continue to fifth intersection and turn left onto Union Street.  Go under the overpass and turn left onto Harbor Drive and follow white NDEW lawn signs to our event!  Reserved parking for EV/Plug-in EV owners on the grass.  Look for our green and white NDEW sign!
