Event Report
We had four plug-in vehicles at this event including a BMW i3, a Chevrolet Volt, a Nissan Leaf, and a Tesla Model S. The Nissan Leaf was brought by a local dealership, and the other vehicles were brought by local residents and businesses who drive them. The EV owners were very enthusiastic and answered several questions about performance, charging, fueling expense, and overall satisfaction with their vehicles. A representative from Refuel Colorado was able to answer questions regarding incentives available for EV purchases. There were even a handful of attendees who test drove the Nissan Leaf, and others who went for rides in the Tesla, and BMW. Many of the attendees thanked us for the event and were appreciative to have information available dispelling the myths about EVs.

Event Description
Hosted by 4CORE, Refuel Colorado, and Mercury Payment Systems.
Plug-in vehicles from BMW, Tesla, Chevy, and Nissan will be on display, and you may be able to test-drive a Nissan Leaf from Economy Nissan. Come learn about the experiences of local EV drivers, as well as, why organizations around our community including Living Solar and La Plata Electric Association are utilizing EVs for their business operations. Information on the benefits, and tax credits available for purchasing EVs will also be available at the event.
Showcase highlights will include:
- Displays of EVs including LPEA’s Chevrolet Volt, Living Solar’s BMW i3, and a Tesla Model S
- Testimonials from local EV drivers
- Charging station demonstrations
- Representatives from local dealerships discussing EV model options and availability
- Information from Refuel Colorado on the benefits and incentives from buying an EV
- Possibility to test drive a Nissan Leaf
