The Care for Creation Committee seeks to educate and advocate for the physical world.  We see Global Warming as the most significant issue facing the world and our local community.  One pathway to reducing the effects of Global Warming is to "electrify everything" that we use in our daily lives.  This can include the appliances in our homes, the tools in our shops and yards and the vehicles we drive.  Transportation causes 1/3 of humanity's greenhouse gas emissions.  The City of Salem bus system, Cherriots, just purchased ten electric buses, the beginnings of the electrification of their fleet.  Today, the congregation "fleet" at St. Mark has over ten E.V.s.  Clearly, transportation electrification is happening, and you can see, hear and feel it at our Electrify Fair.
