Event Report
We had 25 cars and trucks, comprising 21 models, parked near the US Capitol. Highlights included Blackout, a 2022 F-150 Lightning totally black-wrapped (@blckout.dc on Instagram), a 2015 Model S with an amazing tribute to Nikola Tesla under the hood (@Waldorf9651 on YouTube) and a Model Y charging on a Tesla wall connector plugged into an adjacent F-150 Lightning (www.plugio.us). We also had free ice and warm cookies, courtesy of the first folks to tow a trailer round trip coast-to-coast in a Ford F-150 Lightning (shorturl.at/xLt0v), and an extremely well-done 1998 Jaguar EV conversion (shorturl.at/xM9cK). We also distributed our famous EVADC EV Info Sheet (evadc.org/EVInfo, and heard remarks from Nick Berger, Deputy Director, Energy Administration, DC Department of Energy and the Environment, Mike Litt, head of DC Sierra Club, and NDEW City Captains Scott Wilson and Bob Erdman from the Electric Vehicle Association of Greater Washington DC (EVADC). EVADC wishes to acknowledge the valuable help of DC Sierra Club.
