Event Report
The Sixth Taos Electric Vehicle Expo was held September 28th at the Taos Public Library parking lot, from noon to 4:00 pm. The event was again well attended and educational. We had a great turnout, estimated at about 200 people, 28 EVs of 18 different makes/models. About the same number of people and vehicles as last year, but more variety. Especially noteworthy was the new Tesla Cybertruck, a Rivian R1T towing a camping trailer from Illinois, and a Porsche 924 EV conversion project. The total miles driven by all the EVs was over 765,000.
The Taos Public Library venue worked out well again this year. We used the library Community Room (conference room) for the Speaker Program that included an update on a Taos County Energy Conservation Program, an update from the local electric utility CEO, discussion on the Porsche EV conversion project, and a general "EV 101" talk. We had exhibitors from Taos Ski Valley, Taos County, Capitol Ford of Santa Fe, Kit Carson Electric Cooperative, Fiesta Nissan, the Tesla Owners Club of NM, NM State EMNRD – Energy Conservation and Management Division (ECAM) and the NM Environment Department. Many thanks to the Town of Taos for the clean up and re-striping of the parking lot - it made the volunteers jobs much easier. Renewable Taos repainted the curbing at the Library's EV charger parking slots.

SPEAKERS: Experts will give short talks on related topics with time for questions.
DEMOS: Demonstrations of electric transportation are at the discretion of the owner.
