Event Report

Despite the dreary weather resulting from the hurricane aftermath that reached Kentucky, the enthusiasm we observed from those who attended was remarkable!  Only several folks had to decline and we were able to share our EVs through our experienced  EV owners as well as the dynamic dealers who enthusiastically provided ride 'n drives and helped some of our visitors decide on how an EV would fit their needs and lifestyle.   Thank you to everyone for your support.  Our Evolve KY planners joined with the Tesla Owners of Kentucky to offer conveniences and layouts that made our event run more smoothly.  Our public attendance was dismally low because of the storm.

Our efforts to promote electric vehicles during this event was celebrated through a Mayor's Proclamation for this day.  We appreciate Louisville Metro's efforts to support our mission through both the Mayor's Office of Sustainability and the Economic Development Cabinet.  The City is switching over to clean EVs as they replace their fleet vehicles.  Thank you to our sustainability displays including vetted solar companies of Solarize Louisville:  Icon Solar and Pure Power Solar.  We enjoyed test riding e-bikes at the display booth of Middle of Town Cycling and we are pleased to welcome the newest sustainability program for LG&E: Optimized EV Charging!  We can share in saving the Grid!   And thanks to Michael Menor for sharing his display for a better understanding of the technology involved in full self driving capability.

Popular vehicles:  Chevy Silverado EV; Harley Davidson Livewire; Chevy Equinox; Kia Telluride;  Hyunda Ioniq 5; Ford F-150 Mobile Charging Truck; Nissan Aryia.
