Event Report
The EV Showcase at Santa Maria Downtown Fridays was a huge success! There was seven (7) different all-electric or plug-in hybrid vehicles on display from local EV owners, municipalities, and dealerships. Special thanks to Santa Maria Regional Transit for showcasing their 22-foot all-electric mini-bus and providing attendees with the opportunity to learn more about electric transit options!Nearly 500 attendees experienced the EV Showcase and learned about available grants and incentives for new and used vehicles, EV purchase guidance programs, and the various benefits of driving electric, including reduced air pollution from no tailpipe emissions. We look forward to next year's event!

Event Description
Come to the Santa Maria Downtown Friday event on September 27, 2024. In addition to the regular events which include the farmers market, live music, local foods, produce, and craft vendors, you also can experience the National Drive Electric Week EV Showcase. See the display of several electric vehicles, talk to the vehicle’s owners about the EV experience, and get informed about EV rebates and incentives, charging, and local resources. The showcase is a collaborative educational opportunity sponsored by the Santa Barbara County Air Pollution Control District, the Santa Barbara Sierra Club, The Community Environmental Council and C5, the Central Coast Clean Cities Coalition.
