TCU Place is thrilled to partner with Sask EV to bring you the 3rd annual Charged Up Saskatoon Electric Vehicle Expo from 11:00am – 4:00pm on Saturday September 16th, 2023 – a featured event with National Drive Electric Week. This free community event will showcase the best Electric Vehicle offerings, including not just vehicles, but home accessories, education, and other related products / services.
We are thrilled to announce:
- Sask EV will return as a title sponsor
- Wyant Auto Group’s Speaker Stage featuring Volvo
- Tesla Owners Club member vehicles
- 2023 will feature Biktrix Lane, turning Auditorium Ave into a test lane for bikes, scooters, one-wheels, and more
- 4 food trucks from Food Truck Wars YXE
“This is such an important event for our community, and we are honoured to have support from so many local businesses as we build momentum for electric technology. This is bigger than cars – look for recreational toys, farming and mining equipment. We invite you to join in the fun and the conversation.” said TCU Place CEO Tammy Sweeney.
The Charged Up Saskatoon Electric Vehicle Expo is taking place to highlight what’s available and what’s around the corner in EV technology and feature Q&A sessions to build awareness and excitement about electric vehicles. Attendees will be able to go for a test ride in an electric vehicle, attend demonstrations with EV experts, and learn more about the underlying technology.
SaskEV is a collective of EV owners and enthusiasts from across Saskatchewan that is co-organizing the show. President Malcolm Lucy commented “SaskEV is very excited to partner with TCU Place again this year for the second annual Charged Up Expo! Our members are looking forward to sharing their experiences with owning an EV, offer test rides, and to check out all of the offerings at the expo. What a great opportunity to learn and experience what is available in the electric space!”
Charged Up Saskatoon will feature more than 40 EVs on display, including a mix of new vehicles from dealerships, newer EVs owned by enthusiasts, e-bikes, e-scooters, and e-one-wheelers – not just cars!
Saskatoon’s Mayor, Honourable Charlie Clark, attended the inaugural Expo in 2021. When asked for comment about the event, Clark said “The Electric Vehicle Expo is a great opportunity to learn how our local companies are involved in the EV market, as they are part of designing and driving innovation from electric mining vehicles, fleet vehicles, to bicycles and beyond. The expo is also great for finding out what’s next in the EV world. From electrified city vehicles and electric buses, to offering more charging stations to residents, the City of Saskatoon is taking steps to ensure we aren’t left behind in this technological transformation.”
In addition to the electric vehicles featured at the show, vendors for all things electric will be taking part, including solar energy products, home charging equipment suppliers, and more. Representatives will be on hand to supply information on charging stations across the province.
