Event Report
This year Monadnock Sustainability Hub's annual fall Drive Electric ramped up into a full-on Clean Energy Fair! Hundreds of visitors came from throughout the region to view ~25 EVs, Plug-in Hybrids, and electric bikes - oh and to visit a variety of home energy efficiency and electrification vendors as well. Local owners brought 11 makes/models to show and answer any and all attendee questions. Our event Gold sponsor, Green Wave EVs from North Hampton, NH, brought 2 additional models of used EVs for sale. Many fair volunteers and additional members of the public parked their EVs by the display vehicles, adding to the array for perusal. A local Chief of Police, Brent Wilmot from Claremont, brought the town's new Ford F-150 Lightning, and reported it has been exceeding their expectations for patrol and other police needs.We offered 4, well-attended, 10 minute mini-talks: EVs 101; charging your EV; taking a long trip with your EV; incentives to cut your purchase price a lot.
We look forward to providing more electric transportation outreach in Keene in April, for Earth Day 2024!
