Event Report

After 9 years, the event returned to the back of the Outlets.   Even though this area is less exposed than the front, it offered more space for displays and drives.    Coupled with the Blue Ridge Parkway Drive the day before (sponsored by Tesla Owners NC Triangle and Tesla Owners of Western North Carolina ), and with lots of marketing by the Asheville Outlets, the event proved to be a tremendous success!   The attendees exceeded our expectations and we had more variety and quantity of EVs than at any one of our previous events. One of the highlights of the event was the presence of the Weaverville PD's Mach E!   F150 Lightnings and Rivian Trucks were a great sight and the Mini E Copper GT continued to be popular with the riders.  Local sponsors were The Asheville Outlets, Land of Sky Clean Vehicles Coalition and  Southern Alliance for Clean Energy.  Earthshine Nature Programs gave us power, and Live Edge Sound Production gave us sound.  Other non-profits/vendors present were: Sugar Hollow Solar, Clean Technica,  Environmental Action Community of WNC, UNCA Formula SAE, Loving Foods Resources (for the food drive), WNC Tesla Owners.  In addition, lectures/workshops were given by local community leaders ranging from "Battling EV Misinformation" to "The Ins and Outs of Solar Power" to the "Future of Charging".
