Event Report
The Drive Electric Earth Day event in Highland Park was part of an Earth Day Fest organized by Sustainable Highland Park. This in turn coincided with Spring Street Fair, which dramatically increased number of visitors. We parked EVs and our table in the prime location between the main Street Fair and Earth Day Fest area. The vehicles were very diverse from Solo Meccanica Electra to Chevy Bolt to Rivian Pickup truck. Lucid dealership provided Lucid Air.
We have had lots of visitors, including other non-profits, city Mayor, Sustainable Highland Park Chair, Westfield Green Team chair and even an electrician. We have distributed tons of Plugstar.com and Sierra Club flyers, Plugin America and Electric Vehicle Association cards and more. Many visitors expressed their interest to buy EV as their next vehicle.
Among VIPs were Sustainable Highland Park chair Tina Weishaus and city Mayor Gayle Brill Mittler.
