Event Report

After appearing on two TV stations' news programs a few days before, thousands of Wichitans now know about EVs. Drive Electric ICT was joined by Kansas Sierra Club, Metro Energy, one of the City of Wichita Transit's Proterra E-Buses; Kansas Department of Transportation's highway charger installation experts and local electric supplier, Evergy.

Even though we met with 95 degree temperatures and 30 mile per hour wind, we were still joined by almost 20 different kinds EVs including the Ford F-150 Lightning which is in demand in Kansas and hard to find; a BMW i3 REx; a Lucid Air; a Fiat 500E and many other 2023 models including every model of Tesla. All of these got a lot of attention from other drivers and those planning their next EV! We had a total of 28 vehicles during the afternoon.

Wichita Mayor Brandon Whipple joined us to present our proclamation at our event and stayed to visit with everyone there.
