DURHAM DAY ACTIVITIES, Moved to JUNE 3rd – Don’t miss it!
Durham is combining its 2023 Earth
Day commemoration event with our annual Durham Day celebration, held from 12:00 Noon until 4:00 PM on Saturday, June 3rd at
the 66 Main Street parking lot. We’re looking forward to an event that will be a
fun, informative time for everyone. Here are a few details of what’s in
store:
This event will include:
- A showcase of over 15 EVs by
local owners, including some of the latest models.
- Local Auto Dealers will have some EVs for display and possibly offering test drives.
- Information regarding Community Power Aggregation
- Information on home energy improvements and rebates
- Information promoting composting as a
means to reduce methane gas, reduce landfill waste, and help your gardens.
- Displays supporting sustainable
agriculture.
Our event last year was well attended by EVs and residents:
This year's site at 66 Main Street offers more grassy areas for tables and displays, and parking spaces visible from Main Street for display of EVs. There is also a fence facing Main Street suitable for banners, or logos of participating car dealers:
