Event Report
The East Coast Electric Speed Shop, ECESS, opened a larger facility in Raleigh to go with their downtown Chapel Hill shop. TEVA of NC partnered with ECESS to hold Light EV test rides from the store.Wonderful hors d'oeuvres were served from the owner's restaurant, Linda's Bar & Grill.
Over the course of the afternoon about 100 people came in and out of the store and a bit more than 1/3 of those ride custom ebikes that are the staple of ECESS offerings. About a baker's dozen kids rode HoverKarts in the large back area of the new ECESS store.

Event Description
Come experience Light EVs including ebikes and escooters of all sizes at the Drive Electric New Year EVent in downtown Raleigh NC on Jan 7th. We celebrate the new year and welcome the opening of a new Light EV store and shop: the East Coast Electric Speed Shop (ECESS)
There is ample parking downtown at the Publix parking deck across from ECESS.
If you wish to bring an ebike, escooter, or other Light EV to demonstrate:
- please click on the "Participate" button, in the form,
- then check "Yes" to the "Do you drive an electric vehicle"
- scroll down and select "e-bike", "e-scooter" or "other plug in EV"
- then add your Light EV details in the comment section
