Event Report

On the one hand.... zero attendees for the presentation.
On the other hand.... our local Ford dealer brought the sexy new F150 Lightning, and the owner of the Tesla Y drove 70 miles to hang out with us.  :-D
We did have one parking lot attendee... he showed up in time for the presentation, but wanted to hang out in the parking lot with the cars and ask all the usual questions. (I get it... why look at a slideshow with pictures of cars when the real thing is right there.  :-)  )

When I planned the EVent, I was unaware that the local climate group was meeting here tonight. Their meeting ended 30 minutes before our event was scheduled to end. Even though it was dark we were well-lit and highly visible, I'm sure they could see us because we could see them... but none of them approached us after they left their meeting. (shrug)

Event Description

Introduction to Electric Vehicles - What's it like driving a coal-powered? and other frequently asked questions.

Presentation will answer every question I've been asked in the last three years, from the most basic to the most advanced. Topics will include financial benefits, choosing the right EV for your lifestyle, EV charging, ERCOT grid mix, how electric vehicles can improve grid resiliency, how the shift to electrified transportation has already and will continue to benefit the Texas economy and more.
After the presentation and Q&A, we will move to the parking lot where at least one BEV will be displayed and available to touch and take a short ride around the block.
Vehicle(s) will be cleaned between rides with disinfectant sprays and wipes.
Paper masks and hand sanitizer will be available.
