Event Report
This event was held in South Portland, Maine at the South Portland Community Center. The weather was not the best with overcast and some rain but overall the event was a success. We had nearly 300 visitors with 6 local dealers providing ride and drives which included: 2 BMW i3, 1 Plug-in Prius, 1 Chevy Volt, 1 Smart for Two EV, 1 VW e-Golf, 2 Nissan Leafs. The ride and drives were the main attraction of the event. A few volunteers who had Tesla Model S's did offer some rides. Aside from the ride and drives the Natural Resource Council of Maine was vital for the support and efforts of this event. We had a few speakers including Barry Woods who is affiliated with Plug-In America as well as the Gail Rice who is the representative for Central Maine Power and the efforts they are doing to provide EV charging stations throughout most urban cities.
