Event Report
Tonight's crowd was a little smaller than usual due to local high school and college sporting events, but it was a beautiful night for a car show and we had a blast. The pastor of the church was thrilled to see more EVs... he told us to try to bring a motorcycle soon. (Anybody got an electric motorcycle? Y'all turn up!)
It's always awesome to have a variety of vehicles to compare against each other as well as demonstrate how rapidly the technology has improved and advanced... especially when you're comparing a 2012 i-MiEV to a 2022 Tesla Y.
Interesting side note... the i-MiEV is owned by our youngest member, the Tesla is owned by our oldest member.

Event Description
EVs will have their own designated section.
All people, pets,
and powertrains are welcome at this free family friendly community event
hosted by the Church of the Open Door. No admission or registration fees.
Rules: No glass, no burnouts, no drama, no colors. Well-behaved pets and kids welcome. Leashes required.
EV
registrants: HOTEVA respectfully requests ALL political paraphernalia
be removed or covered to avoid any misunderstandings (and to comply with
the "no drama" rule). The focus should always be on the vehicle... the
ease of operation, financial benefits, advanced technology, etc... not
the clownshow in Austin and DC.
Don't forget to bring a chair.
Hand sanitizer, paper masks, disinfectant spray, and disinfectant wipes
will be available to clean vehicles as needed.
