Event Report

**Mayor Amick attended and stayed for about 90 minutes, spoke with all volunteers, sponsors and exhibitors, test drove the Chevy Bolt around the town square, honking to draw attention to himself and the car, and he  test rode one of the electric bikes around the Farmers' Market. 
**sponsor: Jackson County Rural Electric Cooperative; coffee compliments of Java Station; partners:  organized by Scottsburg First Presbyterian Church and Scottsburg United Methodist Church; exhibitors: Indiana Clean Cities and Clarksville Schwinn
**most popular vehicles:  Ford Mustang Mach-E and Ford F-150 Lightning
**Good connections made between mayor and Indiana Clean Cities who are helping the state of Indiana develop its plan for the federal NEVI network

Event Description

 

Drive Electric Scott County will offer attendees a learn-and-ride experience with a variety of electric vehicles and their owners.  Event attendees can look over the vehicle, sit in it and ask the owner questions. Some owners will offer to take attendees on 10-minute drives to learn how the vehicle handles. Refreshments will be offered to owners and attendees.
