Event Report

Starting with thanks to UC Riverside, who provided the perfect venue for an NDEW event--a large parking lot covered with a 3.5 megawatt solar array, which illustrated the ability to "drive on sunshine" by charging EVs with renewable energy. Thanks also to co-city captains at the Inland Empire Electric Vehicle Assn., Nissan Motor Corp. for bringing its 2023 Ariya, Polestar, Electrify America for funding, UC Riverside's CE-CERT center, the California Air Resources Board, California Climate Action Corps, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc. and Don's Bicycles. The Ariya and Lucid gave the most ride n' drives and we were happy that Don's gave 40 rides on ebikes. Attendees including NDEW co-founder Zan Dubin-Scott, the event's co-city captain and a PIA co-founder along with other attendees Linda Nicholes and Paul Scott.
