Event Report
For the 3rd year in a row, the Tucson Electric Vehicle Association (TEVA), a Chapter of the nation-wide EVA organization, and the Pima Community College (PCC) , had a very collaborating as well as entertaining EVent on the Downtown Campus...with a bit of 97-degree warmth of Tucson mixed in. TEVA presented its PCC EV EXPO for National Drive Electric Week from 9:00-2:00 on Tuesday, September 27, 2022.
While the PCC students didn't meet expectations in attendance, the general public did and seemed to enjoy the array of EVs from TEVA members, the Tesla Club of Southern Arizona, Pedego e-Bike and Chapman Car Dealer's Audi and Porsche...!
And some 30 persons attended a classroom presentation of "Going Electric!" by Tucson's own Energy Man, Robert Bulechek. In addition, the EXPO had tables for Tucson Electric Power, Rincon Chapter of the Grand Canyon Chapter of the Sierra Club and the Southern Arizona Tesla Club.
Finally, at the "Going Electric!" presentation, a number of folks informally registered with the 1st-in-the-Nation EV Dean--that is Dean Greg Wilson, Applied Technologies, for the 1st-in-the-Nation TEVA-PCC collaborated course, INTRODUCTION TO ELECTRIC VEHICLES.
