Event Report

Bedford2030 hosted a Clean Transportation event at the Bedford Hill train station on Sunday, October 2, 2022. We estimate a total of 200 attendees. We had a number of partners participate include: - Audi of Hawthorne (e-Tron and e-Tron Sportback and e-tron GT) - Premier Auto - Volvo (XC40 Full Electric) - Colonia Ford (F-150 Lightning) - Mt. Kisco Chevy (Bolt EUV) - Westchester County including an all electric BeeLine transit bus that attendees could board - 511 RideShare - Bedford Police Department including their hybrid SUV - Bedford Mowers - including all electric large and small lawn equipment - Hickory & Tweed - a local bike shop with electric and regular bikes - Plan it Wild - a local landscaping company highlighting the advantages of electric lawn equipment - NY League of Conservation Voters - including information on voting for electric infrastructure this fall - IDEA Committee - local diversity, equity and includsion committee focused on non combusion engine travel - An Owners Corner that included: - Tesla Model Y - Rivian Truck -Tesla Model X - Tesla Model 3 - Toyota Rav4 Prime - Hyundai Kona - Hyundai Ioniq 5 - Kia Niro - Kia EV6 - VW ID4 - Chevy EUV - Chevy Volt - plug-in hybrid Jeep Wrangler - 1969 F-100 pickup retrofitted to be electric
We also hosted a lawn equipment buyback program. Residents were allowed to turn in one piece of gas powered lawn equipment in exchange for a $100 voucher to purchase lawn equipment

Event Description

 

Bedford 2030 hosts the second annual Clean Ride & Drive Event!

Reducing transportation emissions is one of our three priority action areas. Our goal is to help community members learn more about how to improve their environmental impact from transportation, and ultimately to help advance our Town’s greenhouse gas reduction goals. 

Join us for a day of fun as we:

  • See the newest EV cars models
  • Step in an electric school bus
  • Chat with a local bike shop
  • Check out electric lawn equipment
  • Enjoy delicious food and live music!
