Event Report

Our event filled the Cincinnati Art Museum's main parking lot with over 30 EVs, bringing together EV owners and the EV-curious to chat and answer questions.  The enthusiasm of EV owners was clear, even though the weather forecast wasn't!

EV owners tried out other EV makes.  People interested in experiencing driving electric for the first time took their pick from EVs ranging from a 2013 Nissan Leaf to a 2021 VW ID.4 or Tesla Model Y.  With 15 different EV models on display, including newly released ones like the Mustang Mach-E, Cincinnati NDEW 2021 had more variety than any of our previous NDEW events.

The Cincinnati Art Museum was a wonderful host for the event, rewarding volunteers and everyone taking EV rides with free tickets to their special exhibition. We'd also like to thank the vendors who joined the event:
  • Kings VW's ID.4 was busy giving EV rides and test drives
  • Electrada, which earlier in the year installed the Cincinnati Art Museum's 8 charging stalls, gave charging demonstrations
  • Solar Energy Solutions provided interested attendees with information on how to drive on sunshine
Thanks to all the volunteers who gave their time to make the event a success!

Carolyn Dell Patrick shows her BMW i3 all-electric car and gives EV rides. This shows many of the event's electric cars available for rides and test drives: Chevy Volt & Bolt and Tesla Model S & Model Y. A Nissan Leaf, Tesla Model 3, and VW ID.4 are out of view. In the next row we also had an "EV Showcase" of even more electric cars on display.
