The third annual NDEW day in Exeter NH was enjoyed by all. Held right smack in the center of the historic downtown on a Sunday morning, many folks going by on their way to church or a coffee shop caught site of the festivities. Twenty local owners showcased and two dealerships brought down three cars to give test drives (30 in total). The local cable channel filmed bits, and that will air soon on the town cable channel. The press came and took a test drive, and wrote a nice front page story that will give the flavor to those who didn't make it that day. This event is has become the signature event for the town energy committee. In our third year, we have it running like clockwork: 3 members to help the showcase cars park, 2 to staff the test drive sign-up table, and 2 to staff the "Free Coffee and Freebies"  info table/s. The coffee is donated by a local solar company, because we have no budget for this event. According to the town clerk, Exeter NH (pop 14K) has 400 EV's and PHEVs registered. We are hoping to double that by next year. (But then there is that chip shortage thing right now. Dang)
