The City of Carmel in partnership with the Greater Indiana Clean Cities, Hoosier Electric Vehicle Association, Carmel Green Initiative, and Knozone is excited to announce that as part of the National Drive Electric Week hosted the 2021 EV Ride and Drive on Saturday, September 11, 2021. This event will took place during the City's monthly Meet Me on Main event held on Main Street in Carmel, Indiana. Attendees were able to test drive a Tesla Model 3, speak with EV owners and find out other important information regarding owning and charging EV's in Carmel and Central Indiana. In addition, Motor, an EV short-term leasing program, brought a VW ID.4, Model Y, Model X & a Mustang Mach E. Last but not lease, Richard Steiner, the President of the local Hoosier EV Association brought his reproduction of a 1905 Waverly EV. This was the largest event we've held in central Indiana and every year since 2018, our attendance has doubled year over year. We're working on making 2022's event even larger and including more brands, e-bikes, e-motorcycles and other activities.
