Event Report
We want to acknowledge Holley Performance Products (https://www.holley.com/platform/tesla/) who donated a Tesla Model 3/Y carbon fiber steering wheel.Unusual vehicle: We had an electric dragster built by students and staff of Muskegon Community College.
Our local electric utility Consumers Energy sponsored the event by paying for the venue fees and giving out EV-related swag as part of their PowerMIDrive EV program (https://www.consumersenergy.com/powermidrive).
photo by: Karl Bloss The Muskegon NDEW event had a great diversity of EVs on display and we were able to share with an enthusiastic farmer's market crowd. |
Event Description
12/30/2021 Update:
We did a walk-through of the site and the best approach is off Morris Ave via Terrace St. for the section of the market that we're allocated (marked in green on the picture below). The other space facing the Harley dealership will largely be taken up by the MCC electric dragster (in blue), but there could be some overflow spaces there. I marked the best approach off Shoreline Dr. (aka Business 31) in light purple. Remember that if you're coming from the north, you'll need to do a "Michigan left" via a U-turn past Terrace. Note that you cannot access our spaces off of Western Ave which is where your GPS or Google Maps will take you.
The weather still looks good for the morning, so we hope to see you out there! If you're bringing a vehicle, PLEASE PLEASE register so we can get a proper vehicle account.

Have you thought about making the switch to driving electric, but don't know where to start? Come join us, a group of EV enthusiasts, at the Muskegon Farmer's Market to see what it's like to drive electric! Our typical line-up of vehicles includes representation from many brands, some EV conversions, electric motorcycles, e-bikes, and even solar-powered golf carts. We also expect representation by Consumers Energy if you have questions about home EV charger rebates and charging during off-peak rates.
Bring your curiosity and questions...we have answers!
The Farmer's Market will still be in full swing at this time of year, so make sure you leave some room in your vehicle for the latest fall harvest goodies!
