Event Report
More than two dozen visitors stopped by to ask questions and examine eight Battery Electric Vehicles and Hybrid Electric Vehicles at Sustainable Putnam's Electric Car Expo, held at the Mahopac Public Library in Mahopac, NY on Saturday, October 3, 2020. Surprise entries included a 2019 Chevy Volt and a Mitsubish Outlander. One entry drove all the way from Albany NY with his son! And a new EV owner brought the 2013 Tesla Model S that he had just bought two weeks ago. Hudson Valley EV drivers are an enthusiastic bunch, to say the least. Many thanks to Mahopac Public Library for hosting this event in their spacious parking lot and the generous loan of canopy, table, and chairs after hours!

Event Description
Come see privately-owned fully-electric vehicles. Chat with actual EV owners (not salespeople) and learn why EVs are more affordable, better for the environment, and more fun to drive.
Ask questions! Get answers! This event is sponsored by Sustainable Putnam, a local nonprofit organization. No sales or sales pitches are being conducted at this event. It's just a bunch of EV-loving neighbors who want to share their experience and knowledge. Bring the kids, and let them see the future!
