Event Report

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 social gathering limitations in our state, we could not have ride & drives and needed to keep the event smaller than our typical NDEW.

We would like to take a moment to thank the National level sponsors of NDEW2020: Plug In America, Sierra Club, Electric Auto Association, Nissan, Electrify America, and Clipper Creek.  We would also like to take a moment to thank our local sponsors of this event: Clean Fuels Ohio, Smart Columbus, EV United, Buckeye Nissan, and Kelci Crawford (artist).

Throughout the 2 hours, a variety of vehicles dropped by including: Tesla (S, X, 3, and Y), Kia Niro EV, Nissan Leaf, Fiat 500e, Hyundai Ioniq, Chevy Bolt, Chevy Volt, and an electric assist bicycle.  We had drawings for door prizes, shared informational handouts, and appreciated everyone  staying safe distanced with masks on during the event.

Event Description

We will be kicking off National Drive Electric Week with a mini event at the Village of Marble Cliff DCFC Station on Saturday, September 26th, 2020 from 2 to 4pm.  There will be a
Nissan LEAF and a Kia Niro EV at the DCFC and be sharing information about electric vehicles.  We will also be be demonstrating how to use the Chargepoint Fast Chargers.

We will be we will be outdoors only (city building will not be open during event) with responsible distancing in place and masks are required at this event.  If you have any symptoms of Covid-19 or if you have been exposed to someone known to have Covid-19, please stay home and take care of yourself.  We are limiting the EVs on display to just the 2 listed above to help maintain distancing. For the safety of our volunteers and guests, we will not be offering Ride and Drives at the event.  Guests are encourage to drop by for short visits but will not be permitted to display their personal vehicles during the event as we need to minimize touch surfaces and maintain safe distancing.  Our event staff will be temperature and symptom checked before the event start and will be cleaning all touch surfaces regularly throughout the event.

We are looking forward to seeing you there (with your mask on).
