Event Report

A historic first for the City of Bellmead and Mclennan County.... never before have so many EVs gathered in one place.
Historically, this location normally hosts the I-35 Corridor Cruisers show on the first Saturday; but they cancelled their show due to covid and construction. One year ago, there was only one EV at the show, and we had never heard of Plug-In America or Drive Electric. What a difference a year makes!

It's a highly visible location with lots of roadway traffic and a huge parking lot capable of holding triple-digit numbers of cars, so we had plenty of room to spread out. A small group (about a dozen) classic (ICE) car enthusiasts showed up and set up their group a few rows away, several members of that group came over to check out our cars. We had several "drive-bys"... people stayed in their cars and drove around our display, but weren't brave/curious enough to park and take a closer look... and we had several that were curious enough to interact.
(This crowd would respond very enthusiastically to conversions... we don't have any around here, hopefully in the future we'll be able to get some from Dallas and Austin.)
One of the most-asked questions of the night was "When are y'all doing this again?" and "How often do y'all do this?" I don't know, but soon. Keep your eye on our Facebook group and our Twitter. We will do this again.

Thank you.... to everyone that showed up, owners and spectators.... thank you.
Thank you, Pastor Ronnie, for allowing us to use your spacious parking lot.
Thank you, Tesla guy from DFW, for making the drive. I'm sorry I missed your name, thank you for making the drive.

Huge THANK YOU to Mark Tosto and the TSTC Tesla START program for making it a very S3XY show. You guys are amazing.
