Event Description
Davis Drive Electric Week goes "Driving on Sunshine"
Are you “electric vehicle curious”? Would you like to learn how you can power your car with solar energy?
Now is your chance to find out more from your neighbors! Chat with Davis residents on how they drive on sunshine!
The Davis, California NDEW event this year will be included within the context of Davis Driving on Sunshine Week 2020. This week celebrates the coincidence of NDEW with the National Solar Tour week, combining the two into an electric vehicle/photovoltaic (or “EV/PV”) event. More information about the program for this week is available here.
The NDEW event portion of Davis Driving on Sunshine Week will be a Zoom webinar where participants can meet and greet members of the Davis community who drive electric vehicles and learn more about how to purchase a new or used vehicle.
5:00-5:30pm EV 101 Presentation
5:30-7:00pm Main Webinar
There will be a panel for several vehicle models, including Tesla, Leaf, and Bolt. Each panelist will share a test drive video and/or discuss what it’s like to have that model (including the regional charging network, fast charging, and workplace charging).
For live audience Q&A, participants will then choose from a list of rooms. These rooms will include the panelists and their vehicles, dealers for those vehicles, residents who have both an EV and solar, a room about buying used, a room about incentives, rooms with e-bikes, buses, and more! Hear personal stories about why and how the owner got their EV, financial considerations, health and sustainability topics, and how their lifestyle has changed. Other car models may include a VW eGolf, Audi, and Kona.
Please register for this webinar using the RSVP button at the top of this page.
