Event Description
In lieu of an in-person gathering at the Boulder County Fairgrounds this year, we will hold an EV parade going up and down Main Street. If you have an electric vehicle and would like to be in the parade, please register here by clicking the "Participate" button above (one vehicle per registrant). We plan to have 30+ electric vehicles, adorned with EV paraphernalia (stickers, posters, flowers, etc. promoting EV use) driving from Roosevelt Park, south on Main, u-turning at 3rd, and returning up Main back to Roosevelt Park. We will meet at the southeast parking lot at Roosevelt Park, starting at 4pm, with the parade beginning at 5pm.
We will promote this as a virtual event, so as not to draw too much of a crowd to Main Street, but hope to reach and inform those who happen to be enjoying dinner outside at the time. We will also have an MC and will broadcast this via live streaming. To view the live streaming event, please tune in to Sustainable Resilient Longmont's Facebook page at 5pm on September 26: https://www.facebook.com/SustainableResilientLongmont.
If you are participating in this event, we ask that you follow all proper COVID-19 protocols, including social distancing and wearing a mask.
