National Drive Electric Week is a nationwide celebration to heighten awareness of today's widespread availability of plug-in vehicles and highlight the benefits of all-electric and plug-in hybrid-electric cars, trucks, motorcycles, and more. They are fun to drive, are less expensive and more convenient to fuel than gasoline vehicles, are better for the environment, promote local jobs, and reduce our dependence on foreign oil. Are you considering going electric?
The Wichita Society of Alternative Resources will celebrate our third annual National Drive Electric Week ICT event virtually on October 3rd from 1-3 pm! We hope that you will help us make this a fabulous viewing event!
Because we are doing our event virtually, we want you to participate by sending us video clips centered around what is involved in owning and maintaining and even driving your Electric Vehicle. We will include videos from EV owners during our event!
You can use a phone or video camera - just make sure it is in one of the following formats: JPEG, MOV, AVI, M-PEG. You can email your submissions to: Bruce Blank / email@example.com. If your file is larger than what can be attached to an e-mail, use the Googlelink feature (this should automatically pop up if the file is too big). If you are using an Apple/Mac product you may need to send it via a third party storage service. Another way is to post your video on YouTube and send him your YouTube link. The deadline for entries is September 15th.
We are also planning to do an EV DRAG RACE! If you want to show off your EV on a local track, contact Lori at firstname.lastname@example.org!! Date TBD and tentative.
