Event Report

We are so happy the event went smoothly and everyone had a great time. We had more Tesla Models than other EV's, but we also had a nice showing of Chevy Volt, Bolt and others for a total of 20 vehicles. Lots of visitors attended the event that did not register in advance, which is always welcome! We will do this again next year and hope to have another Beautiful Day at Rogers Center to show off Electric Vehicles.

Event Description

Join us for the 2nd Electric car show at Rogers Environmental Education Center. Great opportunity to learn about electric cars and maybe even experience driving one. Talk to other electric car drivers and share your experiences with visitors interested in going electric.

All are welcome, event is free and open to the public. We have had to make changes to the event to follow COVID 19 precautions. We will not have food available for purchase, but picnic tables are out for you to enjoy your packed lunch. Everyone will have to wear a mask and practice social distancing. Please use hand sanitizer and be mindful not to touch any vehicles. Giveaways are available at the registration table. Anyone participating in test rides must have a temperature check at the registration table before riding and everyone must keep masks on and use hand sanitizer before entering the vehicle. We will be keeping count of number of attendees, as we cannot exceed 50 people in the car show area at one time. There is lots to see and do around the property, so if you have to wait a few minutes to enter the car show spot you can feed the fish and check out the turtles and other wildlife at Rogers Center.

Last year's event had 18 plug in vehicles on site and several owners gave rides. We moved the event to Sunday this year and the show will be in the main parking lot on Route 80, visible from the road. Our 2015 Tesla Model S Raffle Car will be on display and tickets will still be available. Last day to enter is October 14th, drawing is October 21, 2020. No rides can be given in the raffle car.

Rogers Center is open dawn to dusk everyday with restroom facilities and 6 miles of hiking trails. Also on site are trout ponds where you can feed fish and see lots of wildlife such as turtles, geese, variety of birds and frogs. Visit our website at friendsofrogers.org.
