Danville Event Has Been Canceled.
Due to COVID19 guidelines and changes in conditions on holding Face to Face EVents, this EVent is being postponed to the spring 2021 Drive Electric Earth Day EVent.
Danville Community College & the Danville Science Center will host a Drive Electric Week 2020 event at the Regional Center for Advanced Technology & Training off VA Route 58 and US Route 29 adjacent to Danville Regional Airport.
We expect over a dozen full size Electric Vehicles and Light Electric Vehicles, which include:
- Tesla Model X
- Chevy Bolt
- Kia Nero PHEV
- Chevy Volt PHEV
- Electric Bicycles (ebikes) including custom virtual rides
- Electric Scooters and Hoverboards by several manufacturers
- Electric HoverKarts - kits which transform a hoverboards into a 3 wheel Light EV
- Segway/Ninebot GoKart - which turns a Segway miniPRO or Ninebot S into a GoKart
Rides will be available on the HoverKarts and GoKart for adults and children over 16 with a parent's signature.
New to our 2020 EVent will be a ride on a virtual course on a Light EV!
