The Juneau EV event was a Covid Free Road Rally. Each vehicle received a map with Plug in America information and Nissan swag. Local information sheet developed by Juneau Hydropower demonstrated that Juneau EV drivers on average save $1031 dollars a year and removed 4+ tons of GHG annually and showed the total impact-financially and environmentally that Juneau could have if all registered vehicles in Juneau converted to electric. Our event was advertised on several facebook pages to include the Juneau Electric Vehicle Association and KINY radio.
The Juneau EV Fleet sports all models of Tesla, Leafs, Bolts, Kia's with a recent count of 428 electric vehicles in Juneau with 16 Public Level 2 charging stations and 3 public Level 3 charging stations.

73 vehicles attended our road rally convoy that traveled the entire borough (county). Many vehicles included entire families for a good Covid Free event. Drivers and participants were not required to ever leave their vehicles. Volunteers that assisted in hand outs and convoy prestaging wore safety vests, masks and followed all safety and Covid protocols.

The City and Borough of Juneau issued a proclamation commemorating the event and celebrating National Drive Electric Week and promoting Juneau as a leading electric vehicle community that is now in the process of purchasing several electric buses.

Due to Covid 19 safety,  this year Juneau will host a safe-in your vehicle- Juneau EV Road Rally on Saturday Sept 26th congregating at the Juneau District Heating Lot at 300 Egan Drive Juneau with a take off time of 11 AM departing the lot with a road rally consisting of over 100 Juneau Electric Vehicles that will convoy through the Juneau area on a predesignated route.

A Juneau EV show of force that is transforming the Capital City of Alaska to cleaner and locally renewable power source for Juneau's growing private and public transportation needs.
