Event Report

On display during the EV Gathering:

2005 converted all electric GMC Canyon pick-up truck with 65,000 km since it was converted in 2012.  Instead of burning 8,840 litres of gasoline the e-truck has used 14 Megawatt hours of clean BC Hydro renewable electricity.

The information table was consistently busy throughout the 5.5 hour EV Gathering, with the assistance of information boards, verbally answering questions, handing out printed information and guiding individuals to the EVs and their owners.  The EV owners were kept busy explaining how much fun it is to drive an EV, how the existing charging system permits more EV driving than most individuals would expect, how EVs start in very cold weather when diesel and hybrids can't start, and how much money we are saving in fuel paying the equivalent of ~20 cents a litre.

The electric scooter, the e-assist bicycle and fully electric bicycle caught a lot of attention as well.

Event Description

In the parking lot off of Second Avenue near Quebec Street and beside the 3rd Avenue Prince George Farmer’s Market.

Bring an EV, plug-in hybrid, e-bicycle, e-scooter, e-motor cycle or other EV related item. Encourage all to attend.
