Event Report
From an electric bus to electric bikes, electric cars ranging from Teslas to sedans to a mini-van, and even solar-charged electric lawn care equipment, electric vehicles (EVs) great and small were on display at the first ever Quad Cities Drive Electric Week event. The gathering took place at the Freight House Farmers' Market, where people strolled through, asked questions, took test rides in some of the electric vehicles, and looked under the "hood" of the electric bus. Information was shared about the public charging stations already in place in the Quad Cities and the planned deployment of a DC fast charging station by MidAmerican next year. The event got lots of positive press and planners are already looking forward to next year!
