Event ReportTest drives were offered by Chevy, BMW, Nissan and Green Light Auto Wholesale, who specializes in used EV's. Our event is very family oriented, as it is part of a larger Festival that features activities for kids and the whole family. We had informational displays by our sponsors: 350 San Francisco and Golden Gate Electric Vehicle Association as well as Plug in America, two peer-to-peer charging apps--Amp Up and EV Match--Enel X who makes the Juice Box Charger and our local CCA, San Francisco Clean Power. This year we definitely had many more EV owners who wanted to show their cars, which means there are many more EV's being sold! EV owners are a talkative bunch who like to share their knowledge and expertise, which is a great way to interest the festival-goers in electrics. This is always a friendly and enjoyable event.
All attendees and volunteers are required to wear face masks whenever they are within six feet of another person at all National Drive Electric Week 2021 events. Please see this information about how to improve how your mask protects you. For more information, see our in-person event safety requirements.
As part of the Sunset Community Festival, we will be hosting a Ride and Drive. Come and learn about electric vehicles and test drive them. Talk to current EV drivers about their experience and get practical insights and tips from them. This is a family friendly event, and there is no sales pressure. Just stop by , have a look at the cars and try one out!
