Event Report
Dozens of electric vehicle drivers and enthusiasts shared their experience owning an electric vehicle during Bemidji's second annual Ride & Drive Event on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at Beltrami Electric Cooperative.
Attendees had the opportunity to ride or drive a variety of electric vehicles, including a Chevy Bolt, a Tesla Model 3, a BMW i3 and a Chevy Volt. Guests also got to ride/drive a Magnum Electric Bike. Other vehicles in attendance included a Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV, and aTesla Model S.
Drivers and guests alike had the opportunity to learn more about public charging, including a DC Fast Charger and Level II charger at the cooperative's facility, as well as how they could apply for a rebate for installing a Level II charger in their home.
Guests enjoyed refreshments and snacks, including some home-made ice cream made and served during the event.
The event was a huge success, with the attendance doubling in just one year. EV owners and guests are excited to keep this event growing in future years and to share in their excitement about EVs.

Event Description
EV Ride & Drive Event at Beltrami Electric Cooperative. This event will be held just south of our main entrance, where our EV chargers are located, near our community solar garden.
- Refreshments and snacks will be available.
- We encourage EV owners and people interested in learning more about EVs to join us!
- Check out various types of EVs, including a Chevy Bolt, Chevy Volt, Teslas and more!
First 50 attendees will receive a free t-shirt!
