Event Report

Unable to get the big names to attend.
We had new ev owners who will now become involved with the local ev club MAEAA.
Some will now attend the remaining three events that round out the NDEW in the KC metro area.
We had a Tesla, 2BMW I-3, 6 Leafs, 2 Ford focus EVs, two Ford C-Max energi, a Ford Fusion energi, 3 Chevy Volts, a Twike, an e-bike, e-scooter and a VW conversion. We also had 7 hybrids.
We had tables inside: Orange EV that makes electric terminal trucks, KC Clean Cities and the Sierra Club

EV Car Show @ Village Presbyterian ChurchChurch
When: Wednesday, September 17
Time: 4pm - 8:30pm
Where: 6641 Mission Rd, Prairie Village, KS 66208

One of the events planned for the National Drive Electric week is an electric car show that will be held on Wednesday September 17th at The Village Presbyterian Church from 4:00-8:30pm.  Some of the cars that will be on display include the Tesla Model S, Nissan Leaf, Chevy Volt and Conversions.

The church is located at 67th St and Mission road in Prairie Village, KS. Dinner and salad are available for $7.00 a person and salad bar only is $5.00. That is church dinner and education night.

Reservations for dinner need to be made by September 10th if you plan to have dinner or salad bar only. Email Al Pugsley to confirm your dinner reservations.  Visit our Eventbrite page for more information.

Orange EV T-Series Corporate Test Drive OrangeEV

Hosted by Kansas City Regional Clean Cities and Orange EV, we are offering an opportunity you don't want to miss!

Dan's Longbranch Saloon and Steakhouse has been holding this event every Friday night during the summer for years now, and they always pull in a strong crowd.  So come out Friday, September 19 to check out Teslas and converted electric vehicles brought to you by the Mid-America Electric Auto Association.

Electric Car Display and Parade @ Discovery Center & Plaza Art Fair discoverycenter
When: Saturday, September 20 
Time: 9am - 11am
Where: 4750 Troost Ave, Kansas City, MO 64110 

 

Check out this gathering of plug-in cars and trucks at the Anita B. Gorman Discovery Center.  Brought to you by the Mid-America Electric Auto Association.  You will be able to speak with owners and ask any questions you might have about electric vehicles.  Come out and see self-converted vehicles and original manufactured cars, like Teslas and Leafs! 


Following the event there will be an informal parade through the Plaza Art Fair down 47th street.
