Event Report
Oak Grove Presbyterian Church, Bloomington MN Sept. 15, 2018
We had a beautiful day for our 1st annual EV Expo. We had dealer EV/PHEV cars for test drives and owner cars for inspection and conversation. We also had electric mowers, electric bikes and scooters, and a place for testing EV batteries. We gave 60 EV/PHEV test drives and 30 some electric bike test drives. We believe we had the largest collection of electric vehicles in one place in Minnesota history.... Teslas, Leafs, Bolts, Volts, Fusions, C-Max, Minis, Prius Plug ins, Outlanders, Pacificas, Tesla X, about 8 2015 Leafs and their owners.
We had a series of EV talks in our sanctuary. Our youth gave car washes and raised a lot of money for their mission trips. Our deacons made popcorn and gave it away with water. And we dedicate our two level 2 chargers with a blessing and ribbon cutting. Several members of our Bloomington City Sustainability Commission were at the event.
