Michigan Electric Auto Association and Ecology Center is pleased to be a part of EV awareness activities that will be occurring across the nation the third week of September, with a National Drive Electric Week (NDEW) event in Ann Arbor. We had two very successful events last year at Saline Oktoberfest and Washtenaw Community College, and we return this year with an event in partnership with Briarwood Mall. We are seeking the same great support from you this year as well. Let's show our strength and make our presence felt with a big turnout this year.

EV owners and enthusiasts are most welcome. Join us with your EVs, EV conversions and Plug-In Hybrids. Come and satisfy your EV curiosity and questions. The event is scheduled to run all day, however we would love to have you for even part of the event any time during the day, if can’t attend the entire day.

  • Find out about life as an EV owner from your neighbors who already have made the switch to this cleaner, more energy-independent vehicle option.
  • Talk to plug-in vehicle owners to get the real story about the benefits of plug-ins and solar energy from people who use this technology each day.
  • Learn how to “fuel” your car at home, at work and “on the go” with the latest EV charging equipment.
  • Get answers to all your questions on cost of operation, savings, available cars, area charging locations, home charging options, rebates and tax incentives

Please take a moment to register. Registration serves two purposes, it helps us to know you better and it shows our strength to visitors, both are essential to overall success of the event. Don't forget to put electric miles drive for maximum impact.

Directions to the event:

Event will take place in the assigned space in the mall parking lot. We will set up near the mall entrance to Sears auto center, look for light pole number 10.

We encourage eco-friendly businesses, non-profit organizations, educational institutions and regional government entities, dedicated to promote sustainability and environmental responsibility, to display at the event. Please contact the organizers before the event in this case.

Thank you for assisting MEAA to offer this outstanding electric vehicle educational, advocacy, and sales event to the public this year and for many years to come. The mission of MEAA is to promote electric vehicles as a practical transportation alternative that can help reduce gasoline consumption and pollution. It will do this by providing opportunities in the region for EV owners to learn from each other and for the general public to learn about EV technology. We will leverage National Drive Electric Week, among other events, to foster this community.

Contact us at eaa.michigan@gmail.com for any questions. More information to be available soon.
